How to Purchase a Red Fox Labrador puppy
Sign up for litter notices
Please note that we are a low-volume, family-based breeder with a strong emphasis on health, temperament, and premium genetics. We intentionally produce only one to two litters per year, allowing us to give each puppy the highest level of care and attention.
Because of this approach, availability is limited and our puppies are often spoken for well in advance. It’s not uncommon for families to wait 12-months or longer for the right match.
Most of our Red Fox Labrador puppies are reserved through our subscriber notification list before they are ever listed publicly. If you’re interested, we strongly recommend joining the list—there’s no obligation and you can unsubscribe with one click, at any time.

Next Litter Expected Summer 2026
We are expecting a litter from Charlie, our English female, in mid-2026 and Lainey, and American female, in early 2027.
Puppy Pricing & Investment
Our puppy investment has historically ranged from $1,800 to $2,500 per puppy.
Pricing can vary from litter to litter based on the actual costs associated with each breeding, including stud fees, veterinary care, and food costs, factors that naturally fluctuate with every breeding cycle.
To achieve the premium genetics and red color we’re known for, we carefully select top-quality studs from across the country. Stud fees alone can range from $1,000 to $3,500 per breeding, depending on bloodlines and pedigree. These fees do not include the additional veterinary, reproductive, and travel expenses required to responsibly complete the breeding process.
Because these variables aren’t fully known until a breeding is complete, litter costs are calculated after each breding and reflected in the price of each puppy.
For reference, our most recent litter (December 2025) was priced at $2,400 per puppy, which included:
Full AKC registration with breeding rights
Routine deworming
A written health guarantee
First set of age-appropriate vaccinations
Exact pricing for each litter is always announced when we begin accepting deposits.
How the breeding process works...
This section walks through the breeding process and what to expect when working with us, from planning and pregnancy through puppy selection and going-home day. We believe in transparency, thoughtful breeding, and clear communication every step of the way.
Join our subscriber list
We plan our litters six to twelve months in advance, but exact timing depends on the natural heat cycles of our females, which can vary. To stay informed, we encourage you to join our mailing list at no obligation.
Subscribers receive early notifications about upcoming litters and puppy availability. Because we are a low volume breeder, our last four litters have been sold exclusively through the subscriber list.
Pre-Breeding
When one of our females begins her heat cycle, subscribers are notified that an upcoming litter is being planned. Female Labradors typically go into heat every six to eight months, though exact timing can vary from dog to dog.
Breeding Occurs
Female Labradors typically reach peak fertility in this timeframe. During this window, the dam and selected sire are brought together under veterinary supervision for the breeding process.
Ultrasound
Our licensed veterinarian will confirm the pregnancy using an ultrasound and provide an estimated number of puppies in the litter. At this stage, the gender of the puppies cannot yet be determined.
100% Refundable Deposit
Once pregnancy is confirmed, you may secure your place in the pick order with a fully refundable $500 deposit. Litter pricing is determined at this time and will be shared online.
Deposits 100% refundable until the puppies are born and the puppy agreement has been signed.
X-Ray
Later in the pregnancy, typically between six and eight weeks, our veterinarian will take an x ray of the dam. This allows us to confirm the exact number of puppies in the litter and ensure they are positioned properly for birth. Gender cannot be determined from an x-ray, so the number of males and females will not be known until delivery.

4-5 Weeks Old
When the puppies are between four and five weeks old, you will be invited to select your puppy. Selections may be made in person, or by video call for families who are outside of Colorado.
8-Weeks Old
Colorado law requires we hold the pups until they are 8 weeks old. By this time, they will have seen our vet, been dewormed and received their first vaccinations. They are ready for their forever homes.
